Based on my passion for nature and life, I love to make meaningful documentaries and portraits both in photography and writing. I focus on the beauty of everyday life, the miracles of nature and the love, power and positivity in every individual, despite age, gender, handicap, race, culture and/or religion. With my photography and writing I hope to touch something within people and open their eyes so they can also spread awareness.
I studied Psychology and graduated in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, was trained to become an editor in chief and worked for years as a coordinator for the biggest interior magazine of Holland, VT Wonen.
In 1997 I decided to switch careers into photography and journalism, hoping to do more meaningful work this way. After studying photography at the Photography Academy Amsterdam and at The London College of Printing I specialized in portraits and documentaries about travel, charities, NGO’s and sustainable and meaningful subjects.
Besides my work as a photographer and journalist, I also work as a Charity Media Agent. In this capacity I offer charities and NGO’s media contacts, branding and publications at a variety of magazines.
